In a high-voltage season finale clash, Sunrisers Hyderabad
put on a batting masterclass at their home fortress in
Hyderabad. Winning the toss and electing to bat, SRH rode
a trio of explosive half-centuries to post a massive 255/4
— a target that was simply too steep for Royal Challengers
Bengaluru, who managed only 200/4 in reply.
Though the result didn’t change the playoff picture for
either team, it was a statement performance from the Orange
Army, who finished their league stage on the highest of highs.

► Abhishek Sharma – 56 off 22 balls (SR: 254.55)
The southpaw opener came out all guns blazing. RCB dropped
him twice — at 32 and again shortly after — and he made
them pay each time. Reached his fifty in just 20 balls and
set the tone for a monster total.
► Travis Head – 26 off 16 balls
A quick-fire support act at the top. Head and Abhishek
put on a blistering 45-run opening stand in just 24 balls.
► Ishan Kishan – 79 off 46 balls (Player of the Match)
The star of the show. His 6th fifty of the season, and his
4th consecutive half-century against RCB in the IPL. He
and Klaasen stitched an explosive 113-run stand in just
48 balls for the 3rd wicket.
► Heinrich Klaasen – 51 off 24 balls
Pure destruction in the middle and death overs. Klaasen
turned the innings into a one-sided batting extravaganza
alongside Ishan Kishan.
► Nitish Kumar Reddy – 29* off 12 balls
Added the final flourish in the death overs to take SRH
past 255.
🏆 HISTORIC: SRH became the first IPL franchise to breach
the 250-run mark on SIX different occasions in T20 cricket.
RCB CHASE – A STORY OF FALLING SHORT
► Rajat Patidar – 56 off 39 balls (Top scorer for RCB)
The RCB captain fought hard but his measured knock wasn’t
enough in the context of a 256-run chase.
► Krunal Pandya – 41* (unbeaten)
Remained not out till the end, but RCB were always behind
the required run rate.
► Eshan Malinga – 2/33 (Best bowler for SRH)
Kept RCB’s middle order in check with clever slower balls
and helped SRH control the chase perfectly.
► Despite the loss, RCB finished at the TOP of the IPL 2026
points table — their first time as league-stage toppers
in 15 years!
